Part of the Resident community at Kaleider, a production studio based in Exeter that plays at the edges of installation, live performance and digital. And a Core Associate Artist at the Exeter Phoenix, the city’s multi-arts venue
Contribution to discipline
David Salas is a BFI Film Audience Network Advisor, advising on non-theatrical exhibition.
He has also contributed to several award-winning short films, as a director, writer, editor and cinematographer and created moving-image installations.
Teaching
I’m a facilitator, more than a teacher.
My goal is to help people find their own creative solutions and fast track skill development.
I have delivered training for the BFI, the BBC, Apple and the Exeter Phoenix. I am happy working with people of all ages and abilities and have worked with masters students, primary school students, people with learning disabilities and broadcast professionals, amongst others.
