The creative and critical components of my PhD explore the value and potential of rooting climate narratives in conversation with the past, and with prehistory in particular. My novel-in-progress examines historical climate change and its archaeological record through two storylines, one set in 2,900 BC and the other in our current era. These two narrtives compell each other forward, intersecting in the landcape and in the life events that make us human.
My PhD is generously funded by Exeter's department of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.
