I am a postdoctoral researcher and Public Engagement Lead for the University of Exeter's Shakespearean Graves research project (October 2025-August 2028). 

 

Before joining Exeter, I spent eight years working for the University of Oxford in a variety of public engagement roles, including on the Heritage Partnerships team, the central Public Engagement team, and most recently as Engagement Coordinator for the Clinical Neurosciences department. 

 

My prior degrees in history, museum studies, and archaeology have allowed me to explore in different ways the question I always find interesting: what can we learn from objects? My PhD thesis (2015-2019), "The material culture of remembrance and identity: South Africa, India, Canada & Australia's Imperial War Graves Commission sites on the First World War’s Western Front" is available open-access
