Yizhou Feng is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Exeter. Her doctoral project explores the cross-cultural circulation, adaptation, and reception of Charles Dickens in modern and contemporary China, focusing on how Dickens’s works were translated, reinterpreted, and embedded within shifting political, ideological, and cultural contexts. Her broader research interests include nineteenth-century British literature, China–West literary encounters, and adaptation studies.

 

Yizhou holds an MA in English Language and Literature from Shandong University. Her current research is fully funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). She also serves as the Coordinator of the Global China Research Centre (GCRC) at the University of Exeter.
